Well, I've been on it a week too, and I think the improvement you are seeing is in your head. 1 week is not enough time to see improvement. Wishful thinking.

I'd do finasteride for 6 months to a year before starting on minoxidil. Your hairloss hit you really quickly, so you have more of a chance of recovering those hairs with finasteride. If you still have thin hair after being on finasteride for a while, then add minoxidil.

I bought some MOPC Labs 15% minoxidil + 5% azelaic acid. I like it, but I don't use it anymore because I am worried about minoxidil sides.

I wish I had as much hair as you do. I don't see Nizoral 2% in your regime. I would add that. It's a mild anti-androgen and can act as a stimulant.

My hair isn't quite that thin, but I have recession of the hairline. Looks like you don't have that. The thinning on the sides is weird though. Have you talked to a doctor? Usually bald guys keep that hair.

Minoxidil is minoxidil. The generic brands may have a different consistency, though. I just bought 6 months of Kirkland minoxidil for 17 bucks. Apparently it's more greasy than the Rogaine brand stuff, but for the price, I'll deal with it.
