I just opened my new foam bottle on December 16th. I'll tell you how long it lasts me. And yes, I use every drop of that foam until the air pressure inside totally dies. This stuff is expensive. :(

Shedding does happen when you start applying for the first time. I was also losing a lot while combing my hair, after application, since it does make ur hair kinda hair (like after applying mousse). My advice.........get a wide toothed comb and comb gently.

half a capful is great if the thinning is concentrated in one specific area. But I'm thinning all over and would rather get the foam to the entire scalp.

I'm using Nizoral every other day and leave it in for at least 5 minutes. Should I back it down to just 2 times per week and NOT leave it in for so long?

I don't know if that's a good idea. A clean healthy scalp is essential for hair growth. I would shampoo once a day but use Nizoral monday wednesday & friday. I would use another shampoo in between.
