Thanks appreciate this. Ya thats why i wanted opinions because I wasn't sure if my hairline change was just due to me getting older and my mom's brother had a similar hairline when he was my age and older.
I definitely think going to another doctor would help me, yes. I'd definitely be open to starting finasteride however everytime I mention my hair to my doctor she says it's fine and I have nothing to worry about.
If I got a prescription for it I would feel a lot better. I've researched it all and it...
i definitely would be fine starting finasteride but I need a prescription and my doctor is oblivious lol. She won't give me any.
And yeah my crown is also changing a bit though I've always had that cowlick/swirl thing going on. I have been losing a lot in the shower which is concerning to me. They say...
Hello all,
I wanted to post a picture of my hairline to get an opinion/s if I should look into anything treatment wise.
I've noticed a slight change since my late teens (I am 24 now) and have been losing quite a bit of hair when I shower lately (around 75 to 100 I would say)
Anyways feedback...
Ya you seem to have been in the same boat as me. Thanks a lot I will look into it. I was going to do that actually go to a walk in and explain and say I want a referral.
Ill look kinto it thanks a lot

Here's a side of my temple btw which I have been also worried...
Thanks for the response. Thing is while I am concerned about this area, my hair has sort of always been that way on the vertex. Like you said the back and other areas are fine and for now my temples are ok too but yeah the top there seems thinner.
Im looking into options right now possibly a derm.
Most I spoke to said they don't accept new patients unless reffered by a doctor. Ill try again though and look around anyways. Or ill see another doctor.
I appreciate the feedback that is helpful.
Well the funny thing is my doctor hasn't reffered me to anyone and refuses to because she says I am fine but I still think the chances of me losing hair within the next few years is high. I am in Canada so for finasteride I need a prescription which is why it's...
Hello all,
I am 24 years old and have pretty thick hair. I have been monitoring my hair since I was about 20 fairly worried and getting increasingly paranoid that it's getting worse. I have done a lot of reading up on it and because my dad's family history isn't strong the chances I lose my...
Thanks for the reply. Yeah I've see the doctor in the past and asked either to see a specialist or for him to prescribe me finasteride himself and he said I don't need it. I've been trying to be persistent since I myself notice a difference
Hello there,
I've been on the site on and off and the reason for that is I look for updates by montinoring my hairline and crown. I appreciate the opinion of others and most people on here so I wanted to post to see if I should seek anything now and catch it as early as possible.
I've been...
Yeah I think that's the same boat as me. I'm 23 mind you but I can just sense that down the road be it 2 or 3 years from now I think my hair is going to definitely change a lot more than it is now. If I am able to start finasteride soon and actually get a prescription, it would make me happy.
I don't mind this advcie though. Thats the question I was gonna ask. If I were to start finasteride early would it prevent me from losing hair in the future? Like thats why I really want to see if they can prescribe it to me.
I guess my response to this could also just be read above ^ but yeah I...
