    rogaine - tight scalp

When I first started using the liquid (years ago), I had a lot of flaking and irritation...likely a reaction to the alcohol and/or propylene glycol. However, after a while my scalp became accustomed to the medicine and the irritation went away. My guess is that you're going through something...

stopped revita 2 months ago hair still isnt coming back:(

Everyone understands your question. You just don't understand the answer. Your hair probably won't grow back unless you resume the use of a hair growth stimulant.

    2% vs 5%

A 5% solution has 2.5X the active ingredient (minoxidil) as a 2% solution, per unit volume.

    Rogaine nightmare

Yeah, the thing about male pattern baldness is that everything is relative. We have no idea of what your hair would have done had you NOT used that 5%. You might have gone downhill even further...I suspect that's the case, but of course no one knows for sure. In some folks with male pattern baldness(maybe all?), it will get...

    Rogaine nightmare

Justin - the finasteride will definitely help you maintain, but its value in regrowth is not as reliable. The combo of finasteride + minoxidil seems to be the sweet spot. I'm not telling you to get on minoxidil because that's a personal preference thing, but that's what MOST guys have found to be the most effective...

    Rogaine nightmare

I really don't see a reason to go with 2%. If there was any lessening of shedding, it would just be postponing the inevitable...while simultaneously delaying and/or limiting the desired end result. I can't recommend the foam enough (which is 5%). It's just a joy to use compared to the...

    Rogaine nightmare

It varies widely by individual, but your scenario is not unique. Some start shedding sooner than later, and vice-versa. We all react to drugs differently.

    Rogaine nightmare

It is likely. You see, that hair was on its way out before you began treatment. Had you not started treatment, it would have fallen out over time. When you began, the minoxidil kick-started things, interrupting the cycle on those susceptible follicles and in effect causing them to purge the...

    Rogaine nightmare

Guys, this is totally normal. Stop now and it may not come back. Stick with it and you will probably be rewarded with your baseline + some. Treatment has ups and downs so drill it into your brain right now... or alternatively, resolve to bald naturally and get on with life

Is foam playing game with me?

I don't think there's a finite answer to your question. All I can tell you is that most folks have experienced what you are experiencing currently, and the hair generally does come back if treatment is continued...and comes back better. It may in turn fall out again, being followed by yet...

    You older guys are lucky.

Yep, I agree. The lack of hair won't limit you, but moping around and becoming an extreme introvert will.

Is foam playing game with me?

This is normal for someone who is responding to minoxidil. Don't expect things to happen overnight....3 months is far from a sufficient timeframe to judge things. You might go through more of it....stick it out and you will probably be rewarded. Give it 1yr+ before you make any assessment.

    Dr Reddy's 5% minoxidil

My take - since you've decided to go the no-prescription internet route on the pills, I'd hedge my bet and use a product that's known to be legitimate on the minoxidil side.
