Yep, every man loses his hair. Just to different degrees, at different speeds and at different stages in his life.
I didn't think I was making a revolutionary statement there. Look at every man over 50 you see in the street.
There's nothing magical about it. You don't want to f*** around with your endocrin system during puberty.
What you're giving here is REALLY BAD advice.
No, no side-effects. My shedding stopped a month ago and I stopped finasteride at that point. Thought I would have run of tests to reassure myself that everything is where it should be.
I can't believe the results are back already. These guys are quick (I gave blood earlier today).
TESTOSTERONE 25.6 (nmol/L 9.8 - 27.3)
17-Beta OESTRADIOL 97 (pmol/L 43 - 146)

What makes your doctor so sure you are suffering from Telogen Effluvium and not male pattern baldness?
How sure are you that he's right?
Easy answer though. Get off Propecia and see what happens a year down the line.

2) Started finasteride. Itch eliminated eventually.
3) Stopped finasteride. Itch returned eventually.
4) Started topical treatment --> Itch eliminated again.
Steps 1-3 are necessary...

The google preview seems to indicate that 3a-HSD is mentionned in the context of Androgenetic Alopecia.
This needs to be moved to another section I think.
(how'd you like my BUMP excuse?)

Topic of this discussion forum is "Hair Loss"
Propecia is a drug that prevents any further "Hair Loss" for most men.
Conslusion: Propecia is a waste of money?
Strange logic.
