I think that their studies focused solely on the crown. So they might only be able to say it has been proven effective for the crown. Lots of people use it on the front of the head, though. If you put it on your arms, I bet you that you sprout thicker hairs there as well. :D

Sorry if this is a stupid answer, but apply it where you want hair to grow. :D All of my gains are at the front of my head, right where I apply it. Photos in my sig. I use 1/2 a cap 2x a day as it says on the directions (FOAM).

The scent of rogaine foam grew on me. My wife doesn't mind it either, and it does wear off a bit when it dries. The funny thing is that my wife is so amazed at the results that she won't let her face touch my head when we are sleeping. She thinks it will cause her to grow a beard. :lol:

I think it's unpredictable, but also that if the comments posted here are correct, minoxidil will increase your baseline haircount and thickness to what it might have been X years ago, but will not stop hairloss, so the clock ticks even though we've had a rewind of a certain number of years.

I can attest to the success I've had with foam (my photos link from my signature). I'm only using foam and nizoral 1%. No finasteride. I've almost got my thinning beat as well. And I don't own photoshop. :lol:

Be sure to aim it down when you use it. Otherwise, you are letting more gas out than is needed.

Thanks! So far, just using foam and nizoral 1%. I just posted a new photo -- i think it is still filling in and solidifying my hairline. I look at the initial photo and compare to today and the difference is pretty startling to me. Keep me posted on your results with the foam. For my diffuse...
