Is it OK to use Nanogen ( or any concealer ) 3-4 months after my hair transplant.
Do concealers limit or stop regrowth of transplanted hair? Many thanks.
Update: I just dyed my hair to my base color ( dark brown ) and am surprised to see that when contrasted with my pale scalp it actually looks like I have lost a fair amount of hair. During the dying process I did not lose may hairs and I have been monitoring any recent hair loss ( minimal as...
I'm living in Asia these days and my doctor is in Boston. It's difficult to reach him by phone given the time difference and his busy schedule. I did email him my questions prior to posting here--and hope to here back from him soon-- but I also wanted to see what others' experiences had been like.
I'm a diffuse thinner who has had multiple hair transplant's. My hair is a combination of dark brown and grey/white. I am considering dying my hair blonde because I think that looks best on guys with thin hair in the crown and mid scalp. Just wondering if others think that blonde tends to appear to cover the...
I've had multiple hair transplant's but forgive my ignorance on the subject--I've been to some real hacks until I finally found a good Doctor for my last hair transplant which was last December.
I've lost hair in the crown area in recent years but most of what is left in my crown area is transplanted hair. Can I lose...
I wouldn't bite on this stuff. Ask a reputable dermatologist but it sounds like bunk to me. I've seem similar products on the market a long time ago but never heard that they had any success.
I have a diffuse covering of my scalp ( I'm a ~ Norwood 6 ) but most of what is covering it is wispy, transplanted hair. I am interested in a final hair transplant and may need to have an FUE due to having a tight scalp. I am interested in opinions on Dr. Rahal.
I think the goal of all good hair transplant docs is to make the patient have an age-appropriate appearance. My first two docs failed in that. They brought my frontal hairline lower than it probably ever had been. I yielded to their professional opinion and I got a very low, pluggy appearing hairline that...
Hi, a.
I'm an older guy who had his first hair transplant back in 1984 when the state of hair transplant's was not very advanced. I had good density in my donor area then and that helped make up for a lot of incompetence ( or lack of knowledge ) on the part of 2 docs who worked on me then. Back then the hair transplant's were...
Thanks for posting, K. The last 3 hair transplant's were largly remedial work to correct the damage of the first 3 hair transplant's . I did have grafts added but not that many each session ( ~ 250 new grafts). Mostly the last 3 hair transplant's were to correct and redistribute old large grafts from the first 3 hair transplant's, clean up or...
Thanks, D. I'm supose I was going to lose some of that hair evntually it's just that I lost so much aftter the surgery it seemed. I'm hoping that a most of it grows back in any kind of form :)
Thanks, BD.
Yeah, my donner area getting very small. I must make a careful decison at this point. What would be a ballpark cost of say 2000 FUE grafts? Any Doctor recommendations for Boston/NYC areas?
I have had 6 hair transplant's, all strip. I now have diffuse hair covering from my crown to my hairline-- but it is very thin and needs concealer to cover the scalp. ( Sorry, I will try to upload pics of my scalp later).
I would like to thicken just the crown area more with another hair transplant but I have very...
Is shock loss temporary or does the hair grow back? Does it all grow back? I have had hair transplant's but my Doctor never mentioned shock loss. I did notice that the hair transplant were often traumatic. Later, I noticed that it seemed that I had far less hair than before I had the hair transplant. Not sure if it all grew back or that...
