Some drugs can over stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system leading to muscular twitches, and I believe eventual muscle paralysis. Propecia nor minoxidil belong to these drug categories.

Regardless of its affects on hormones numerous studies have shown that it improves hair growth. There is no reason to worry, even if it is increasing androgens it seems to be doing something else that is powerful enough to overcome the hair retarding power of the androgens and help hair growth...

Well from what I have read, minoxidil's hair growth actions are far from just dilating the blood vessels. Maybe one of its other reactions require it to be in its Sulfate form. I really need to do some reading on minoxidil.

Do not know about the sexual sides, but I too got extreme levels of grease on my face and an increase in acne after about one month on finasteride, although a few weeks later my face dried up and I actually gone to having less acne then I had pre-finasteride ( got some comments).

That is why I hang out on hair loss forums, I thought they would never find me here. Hell I do not even suffer from male pattern baldness, I have AIDS but they came after me when I tried alternative medicine *sigh* and got better.
