I found a registered nurse at a general clinic who does PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) therapy at a general clinic. She said she received training and is doing PRP on a number of people. The price is good. I'm sure she has to lower the price because she's not a M.D., but can a nurse do PRP...
I'm in my early 40s. If you feel finasteride has not improved your situation after 3 years at less frequency than FDA guideline, should you consider Dutasteride, OR before considering Dutasteride, should you consider follwoing FDA guideline to take finasteride every day instead of taking...
If you are on finasteride or propecia, has that negatively affected your health insurance premium under Affordable Care Act in any way? And do you have to disclose you're on finasteride or propecia when signing up for insurance under ACA?
I've been on finasteride for 2+ years with no change. Hairs no worse/no better. My Doctor says it still looks like early stage male pattern baldness which is the same as what he said when he met me for 1st time 3 years ago. I did not experience shedding while on finasteride. Perhaps that's why I didn't get any improvement from...
It seems like no doctors both online and offline mention hairs becoming dependent on Minoxidil/Rogaine. (Interestingly, doctors also don't seem to mention and caution initial shedding from Propecia/Minoxidil. Some do, but it seems like most don't including mine, but that is not my questions)...
Took finasteride 1.25 2 to 3 days a week for 2 years, and used HairMax LLT for 1 year. No change. Actually, I think the lateral side near the side burn (strangely more on right side then left side) seems to have lost a little more density. The next viable option will be Minoxidil or Rogaine.
1) What...
I thought once the hairs are transplated and they grow, it's a fix good for life. However, it seems like you will need to take finasteride or something similar for life post surgery to maintain the transplated hair. Can someone shed lights on my question please? Thanks.
sapinho: Thank you for your advice. Your advice is more thoughtful than those derms who look at my head for about 20 seconds and charge around $150. They rarely address all my concerns.
Another question is would I be a candidate for hair transplant surgery to make my vertex area more dense...
Please examine my headshots (both taken on same day, but another one appears more like male pattern baldness). About 40 years of age. I really am not sure how long my vertex was looking like this, but I think it's possible it's been like this for a very long time possibly from my early 20s...
Chris87: r u sure that it's ok to buy w/o prescription? I think you want to do it legal otherwise if you get into trouble for buying finasteride w/o prescription, that can create a host of other problems on top of hair problems for the rest of your life.
How long have been using this...
My derm wrote me a prescription for Propecia for 6 months. Is there a generic equivalent of Propecia available? Would it be Finasteride?
Also, is there anyway to buy these medicines without the annoying cost and time to go to the doctor just to get the prescription on a piece of paper? Are...
40 and thinning on the crown. No bald spots have developed yet, but would like to do something about it. However,my fear and concern is this initial shedding from which some male pattern baldness suffers do not seem to recover from. I understand some recover, and some never experience this initial shedding...
