I figured I would post an update since I hit 1 year on the 21st. The pic on the left is 1 month in while on the right is today. You can see that I have way more hair than I did a year ago, but also that it's still somewhat thin on the temples. I'm hoping that I'll continue to see regrowth into...
I focus on the thin spots, I don't really bother much with the back/sides. Yeah, I'd go all the way down because there's a reason you use 1.5 mm and not 1 mm or 0.5.
For me, I push the stamp down until I feel just enough pain to draw a tiny bit of blood. You'll know what I mean once you try it. And I would say yes, stamping works better with long hair. Originally I had a roller but it got tangled in my hair.
I never saw any skin peeling from it, I'm not sure what that might mean.
I've definitely seen more improvement when I do it every other week. Generally that frequency shows me new and visible regrowth on a monthly basis.
I used a 140 needle 1.5 mm dermastamp. I honestly can't remember where my miniaturized hairs were so it's hard to say if it reversed those or just grew more hair in general.
My mom claims that my hair looks thicker, though she never really noticed my hair loss in the first place. I showed some friends a picture of me from a year ago and they said it looked like a huge difference.
In general nobody really has said anything except for when I pointed it out.
IIRC studies showed that the permanent "side effects" like ED appeared at the same rate in finasteride/dutasteride users as they did in the general population
Hard to say. This picture is from May 2015. Early 2015 is probably the earliest I can find evidence of hair loss in photos, though it probably started thinning at the very end of 2014.
This one is from January 2018, when I'd been on finasteride for about a month. I was probably losing my hair...
No it's the 140 needle dermastamp. I started with a roller but it got tangled in my hair.
As I already said, I'm not really sure. I might have had some minor sheds at various points but I find that hard to keep track of.
Most days I just use Head and Shoulders. I should have mentioned this in my OP, but I use Nizoral 1% 2x/week. Idk if it really does anything, though.
All those pics are dry. It still looks kinda bad when wet.
It's also a little thin above my temples.
This is where I'm hoping I can see...
Yeah, it does seem my miniaturized hairs have gone to thick, full, brown ones again. I'll hopefully post back here in 4-8 months with even more improvement
