I'm using the generic finasteride made my Cipala. Been using it for 8 months now and the same result as the much more expensive brand propecia.

I have been on finasteride for 1.5 years now and it has done nothing for my hairline. Has helped maintain the crown, middle section very nicely. Dont expect finasteride to work at the hairline, its the one area where a hair transplant is the only hope. Sorry if I sound glum, but just wanted to tell the truth.

Thanks metalhead. I am not sure I want that kind of hair transplant, its a bit overdone. Kind of like a guy who broadcasts the news. Its just not natural enough compared to what I had 2,3 years ago. I'll bring a photo to the doctor on the day of hair transplant.

I think the guy from H and W quoted 1500-1800 because I showed him a photo of me years ago with a full hairline and a naturally high hairline. I certainly dont want to go lower than my natural high hairline because I think it fits my features better.

I'm in the same position. Been on propecia for 1.5 years. It has helped in the vertex and middle of the head but the hairline is just not responding. I have come to the conclusion that a hair transplant is needed to get it back. I am going to Hansson and Wong.
