Topical Minoxidil is not dangerous at all. I don't think it's that useful for androgen alopecia though. You need Finasteride, or some other anti androgen to really keep your hair and see results.

The owner used to care about this forum. At one time it was the most active forum for hair loss. People should have fun. That said, it does need moderation. They shouldn't go back to banning everybody like they did at one time. Just give people a private warning, and then maybe a temporary ban...

In my opinion conventional treatments should be tried first. Nobody wants to have a flat tire between their legs, but even doing Finasteride every other day is better than not doing it at all. Of course, this only applies to people suffering from androgen alopecia.

You are so right. My son is now using a prescribed shampoo with and Minxodil for his hair loss. I told him it doesn't do sh1t, but it's his body, his choice.

His overall density doesn't look good. His hairline does look better than when he was younger.

It's just a hair growth stimulator. It was found accidentally to grow hair. It probably doesn't do sh1t. I'm sure of that.
