The clinic that did my hair only quotes in number of hairs and I had just less than 9000. Graft-wise, I would estimate I had between 4000-4500.

They're not distressing but people need to be aware of them. No one told me about these 2 side effects and certainly no one said they would be long term. People need to be made aware before they start on the drugs rather than get a shock which I did :)

The side effects of Dutasteride/dutasteride/Avodart seem only to last for around a month. The libido comes back as does the erectile issues however, the long term effect in some men can be a reduction in seamen production and a sever reduction in ejaculation strength.

I found the only 2 ways of masking thinning hair were shave down to a #1 or bleach the hair so there is less contrast with the scalp. I did both of these for years :)

Have you tried Julian Jay shampoo? I find it superb at incresing the blood supply. I use Nanogen thickening conditioner as well.

The only person who will be embarassed about your hair will be you. Most partners don't care about your hairline! My partner actually preferred me when I was bald!
