It is said that Zinc helps with hairloss- if anyone has used it or read up on it what is the proper dose?

Zinc supposedly lowers DHT levels.

Do not take more than 100 milligrams of Zinc daily. While daily doses under 100mg enhance the immune response, doses of more than 100mg can depress the immune system.

moving to vitamins and supplements

Take ZMA! Its been proven that 80% of hard training athletes are deficient in both Zinc and Magnesium.

Since Ive been taking it my recovery time from workouts are a lot less. I dunno about hair regrowth.

Er, and dont bother taking this advice unless you work out a lot like me.

Yes I work out a lot and really like the ZMA from Biotest but you must think what you are doing first Thinning... ZMA raises test levels which in turn becomes DHT when it is in excess which will lead to more hairloss.

I do not believe any product that aids in weighlifting by increasing Test levels is beneficial to hair growth, trust me I have tried them all and lost.

The best is new Creatine products like V-12, least for me anyway.

heres some food for thought: i heard on some website(could be bogus) that some dermatologist said you need at least 3 MG of biotin for it to make a dramatic difference in your hair--thats 1000 micrograms of biotin...and with that 80 mgs of zinc...more than 100 mgs of zinc a day could in fact lead to hair loss--due to its affect on the copper in your body or something--so if u take multivitamins and wanna triple up on the biotin for example, watch otu cuz too much zinc may be counterproductive to what your aiming for
