Is retinoic acid an DHT blocker (sorry, Bryan) ? I don't think so.
It peels the skin for better minoxidil absorption as far as I know.

Xandrox has nothing to do with retinoic acid, although there _may_ be a version which includes it as an extra ingredient. What makes Xandrox what it is, is the azelaic acid which is mixed with the minoxidil. Dr. Lee thinks (with very little in the way of supporting evidence, by the way) that azelaic acid functions as a 5a-reductase inhibitor, when applied topically.
