I would say I'm a NW2 and 22 nearly 23, i have already shaved my head due to people noticing me thin at the back and laughing about it. I thought trying to hold on to the inevitable is pointless and just prolonging the grief.People notice you're going Bald and growing your hair long and taking and hiding it makes you seem insecure and people will be more negative towards you.

My advice is to shave it, it is always better then trying to make hairstyles with weak and thin hair. And it takes less time to maintain.

It depends on you. Do you want to hold on to your hair longer? Do you like it better with hair? If so, then get on finasteride and see what it will do for you.

If not, then you're lucky that you can shave it and still look good. This was my thought as I got to the shaved head picture "f***....why can't I look that good with a shaved head?". I'm jealous of you, extremely.

Picture with hair: "Ya, he's kinda hot"
Shaved head pic: "Oh, I'd bang him, for sure!"

Unfortunately, this is true too. There is a world of difference between shaved and having some hair on the top, and sly bald. Shades also help.

You say that you don't want to invest the time and money....but it's really not much money, and even LESS time. You can get a year's supply of finasteride for around $100 (33cents a day), and just pop that pill after you brush your teeth every night. It adds 3 seconds to your routine every day, and will let you keep your hair for years to come (hopefully). Personally, if I were you I would try to at least keep what I had. You'd have options that way....and it's MUCH harder to regrow hair than it is to maintain what you have.

BrightonBaldy: I kind of see what you're saying; unfortunately I don't have any other photos to show a comparison. By posting that photo I was more or less trying to give an idea of what my head shape is like. The other photos show what my face looks like and I don't think your actual face changes just because you have a shaved head.

As for losing the rest of the hair on top, again, you could be right. Personally I think guys like Billy Zane still look great even though most of the hair on top is gone now, while Freddie Ljungberg looks even better the shorter he goes. Obviously they're good-looking guys to begin with but all I'm trying to say is that you can't just assume it'll look worse the more the hairline fades away. Either way, thanks for the opinion.

the face DOES change when you go sly, its the only thing that bothers bald people in the long run i think, the difference is massive.

truth is you are a good looking guy as we've been saying and you may well suit it with nothing on top, the likes of ljungberg look better with a buzzed balding look than sly

obviously hes as well known for his modelling as he ever was for playing football so its probably a bad example but for most blokes losing the hairline/something on top is what makes the difference.

You look good with a shaved head man. You're lucky for sure. I do not. Although I can't help but say...aren't you afraid you might regret letting your hair go in the future? I mean theres a good chance if you hopped on finasteride or something you wouldn't have any side effects and you could at the very least keep what you have now, if not regrow a lot. I'd hate to see you let it all go, and then down the line regret it and wish you had tried to save your hair.

some of u guys think propecia will stop all male pattern baldness, and regrow it. it doesnt work for everyone and in some ppl it can make it alot worse, not to mention side effects.

im all for ppl trying to save there hair with finasteride, but dont make it out to be a silver bullet because it is not.

Stick with it man, completely pointless toiling away with Finasteride at this late stage, I could understand if you had an awful looking head shape, but from those two pics at least, you genuinely look really good.

you look good, forget the finasteride. Maintain that stubble at all times and work on a tan to look even better. Also, get your body in great shape. If you follow this you will have no problem and I am sure you will be better looking than most guys with hair.
