Would Transplanting Only The Hairline work?

yeah it actually works really well provided you are happy to wear a hairpiece for the rest of your life. You can't change your mind down the road if it becomes too annoying because then you will look like a freak with a thick section of hair in front followed by slick scalp. There is also another option that works if you are not completely bald in the crown area. You can transplant the hairline and then use concealers for the rest of the top that is thinning

seems like the best "fake" option if you cannot go down the medication route considering a full transplant will thin out over time, instead of using all thickness in one area?
Yes, you can. That's what I'm planning to do in worst scenario.
