What do you think the estimated grafts?

Started finasteride a year ago, RU 2 months ago, although I'm happy with the hairline the crown got a bit worse so I want to repair the damage on the back because I'm tired of styling to cover it. I can still cover without needing to use any concealer but its getting tiresome. I figure at 34 years old it shouldn't get much worse so may as well fix it now. I would get a strip procedure.

Most importantly, can they do it without shaving the entire top of my head? I would really like the procedure to be undetectable. I can get 4 weeks off work. I'm in Alberta, Canada.

Any pics? Is your crown diffusely thinned or slick bald?
If you're a diffuse thinner,, there is already the difficulty of creating new graft sites without 'killing' the existing weak native hair, so it would be best to shave to make the job easier for surgeon.
If it's slick bald, with the strip method it could be less detectable Have a look at mine under the FUT section of forum .. I had to get the frontal third shaved so i had no chance of 'hiding' it so I'm just fully open about it. I would speak to a few clinics and get a feel of how they think they can approach it

Link in the original post. It is not slick bald but the thing is at 34 on finasteride it might never get to completely slick

Ahh I see. Personally, if you're not a fan of being 'detectable' (ie. have your crown shaved) I wouldn't get a hair transplant. Transplant on diffuse thinning is known to not yield amazing results, and since your thinning is not so bad as yet, I would keep up with Finasteride+RU, and consider adding Minoxidil and microneedling.
If you see mine, you can see the crown is rather thin, but it was recommended that I leave it alone and blend it in once the transplanted frontal third (hopefully) grows some length and density. i believe it was an ethical advise by the surgeon, as opposed to some surgeons with a more aggressive approach (either that, or they just want to up-sell and extract more of your money). There is not much point using up more of own recipient hair for a result which isn't likely to be a huge improvement on the thinning crown.
By all means, see some surgeons for their views though.
