Will a regular doctor prescript finasteride, or do you need a derm?

I'm trying to get a script for finasteride from a Dermatologist, but a lot of the places I've tried are either not accepting new patients or are backed up until December.

Can I just go to a regular doctor, or are they gonna end up sending me to a derm anyway?

I don't know I think it depends on where you live. In Ontario, Canada where I live you have to see a Derm.

In Ohio(USA) My doctor said he COULD prescribe Proscar(non generic fincar), but refused to(at this point my insurance would not cover another basic visit in the same year). I now get fincar from inhousepharmacy.biz (not an advertisement, just helping out in case you run into the same issue.

Thanks for the replies!

Agahi, I've been thinking of going the Inhouse route as well, but I can't help but be a little sketched out about doing things that way. Any feedback on the quality of the pills you got?

I have gotten a 1 month supply of Fincar from them which is what I hear is legal (30 day supply, though I always say the law is so wacky here I cannot deduce the for sure truth on what the limit is).

The one month supply is actually a 4 month supply at 1mg a day (5mg pill cut into 4ths)

I notice a drastic improvement already 1-2 months in, I have full confidance in the site, as do many other users here (I read several reccomendations on these forums for this route before I went with it).

As always a doctor would be a safer route(maybe). I bit the bullet and took my risks and went behind my doctors back. If you CAN get a Doctor's approval it would be better, but if you run into a similar situation where you cant get it, and you want to risk the side effects ect (I did not expirence them but I heard the nightmare stories, not trying to scare you, just know the risks) go for it I say.
