Im 24 years old and a Norwood II. The hair on top of my head is still thick but my hairline is receeding, and my hair is a bit thinner on the front of my scalp. Im currently on propecia 1mg daily, and i also use topical spironolactone (S5). But i was thinking about switching it for minoxidil instead. The thing that makes me doubt if topical spironolactone is a good choice is that i dont se ant reasearch about it on hairloss, i have read a study that concluded it blocks DHT at the sebaceous gland. It would be great if someone could do the same study but on the follicle instead, because if spironolactone blocks DHT at the follicle in dont want to miss out on using it. On the other hand minoxidil has a great deal of research behind it that proves its effective on regrowing hair, and my main goal is to regrow my temple area. Maybe im getting all the dht protection i need from the propecia or maybe not...the simple thing would be to use both buth i think its to messy and time consuming to use two topicals. Wich one do you think i should use?
