Why scalps turn red?

I noticed men who are balding the scalp underneath is usually a very distinct red color. It almost looks like the head is sunburnt and like it's inflamed and would hurt to touch. Is this a precursor towards agressive balding? Is it due to a lack of blood flow or something or dry scalp or something along those lines? Does a reddened scalp point towards more aggressive forms of balding?

It is a result of the dht sensitivity I believe..I read somewhere, I think it was on one of the sections of this site, that inflammation is present in almost every male pattern baldness case. inflammation is no good for the scalp, that's why everyone here stresses using keto shampoo to keep it under control
