Usually hair recession is associated with the male Norwood scale. Of course, it is just
a generalization. There are many men who are only diffuse balding, and start at their vertex.

Women tend to bald more diffusely/evenly than men. Their Norwood scale is much different.

Women usually tend to go vertex first, and all around bald more evenly than men.

Hopefully you will be as fortunate as they are, and inherit your dad's genes.

I don know it's not the X or Y chromosome. But scientists think they're several genes
involved in androgen alopecia. In fact, they believe it could be in the hundreds.

So true. In fact, at 20 signs of hair loss usually indicate AGRESSIVE hair loss.

People that go later in life usually have it much slower. Known fact.

True but how many men stay his kid hairline for many years, in my opinion is normal a little receded hairline.
Ofcourse when you have 20 years old and you see your hairline receding, you don't know if you are bald or still hair in the next 10 years.

I'm sick and tired of people coming on here with their precious NW2 and crying about it, when they should be out enjoying life. male pattern baldness is thinning hair in the crown or anywhere within the NW7 area, or minituarization (and thinning) behind the hairline.

You forgot to add in your opinion. If your missing 1 hair today from when you were 13 with perfect hair then you have hair loss. Whether it constitutes male pattern baldness is just pure opinion of when you think male pattern baldness starts/ends. Its not a factual statement so people can judge it however they want and they arent wrong because you disagree.

So you are saying a NW1 is hairloss, because normally kids with 13 years old have juvenile hairline.

You measure with the last top wrinkle in the forehead, just raise the eyebrows and check if the hairline is still around the wrinkle, if it has moved back then it's receding.
