I've seen a couple posts here mentioning retin-a being used, and i have to ask why. I am only aware of it being used to treat acne and as far as i know its only approved for that.

"Topical tretinoin is used to treat persons with mild to moderate acne, or skin which has been damaged by excessive exposure to the sun."

now if you've got acne or clogged pores on your scalp, i can certainly see this helping to alleviate the problem but other than that i cant see how this would help grow hair.

some people use it as it allegedly helps to increase absorbtion of other topicals, i.e. minoxidil.
