Why is propecia making my hair worse?

My hair seems to be weaker and worse, and even more receeding and finer after I started taking propecia.

This drug seems to have done absolutely nothing for me.

I'm also somehow strangely allergic to Nizoral, it makes me feel faint, headachy and sick. IT really does, it's strange.

I do use Rogaine Foam but that doesn't seem to be doing either.

Am I a non-responder, or is my hairloss happening for perhaps different reasons than these drugs were designed to treat?

Or am I just going through shedding?

I went off and on with propecia/rogaine since the year 2000. Recently I went from every few days I take propecia, to daily. I increased the dosage a few weeks ago.

Why must propecial/rogaine cause shedding? I don't get it.

As I understand it they cause shedding because your old hairs that are affected by DHT fall out and are replaced by new ones that are stronger and thicker. Bit of a pain for some but that's the way it is. If you think about it a good shed should mean more growth.

hairs that are in a "loss/resting" phase can be shed as a result of the hair growth stimulator bringing the follicle out of dormancy.
