I've been on Finasteride 1mg just coming up to a year. If I were to take the number of days my hair looked good, and the number of days it did not, there would be more of the good days.
Obviously, the psychological factor comes in. Or perhaps on certain days the thickening shampoo's cosmetic effects just worked a little better for me. Who knows.
On average, it seems like I have maintained. I have long hair which I tie back most of the time, and a year ago I noticed short hairs on my hairline. Those short hairs are still there a year later and have not grown! It's like they're just stuck. You'd think they would fall out eventually.
Anyway, I'll continue with finasteride and see what happens.
