Why I think MHT gets such a bad rep

Really sorry reawaken an old discussion, but I just wanted to share a few pictures. MHT seems to get a negative reaction from most, which is understandable if you're going off this:

What do you honestly think when you see the following pictures though:

- A lot of MHT hairlines look fake yes but I really don't think these examples do at all

- What exactly do you mean by "Your opinion of hairloss will change"? I doubt people will empathize any less with hair loss sufferers, otherwise you could say ANY hair loss treatment would change your opinion of hair loss.

- Tattoo removal is a lengthy and difficult process due to the metallic inks. The inks HIS use are absolutely metal free and the removal via lasers is problem free and very easy.

I do completely understand the negative reaction MHT seems to get; it's a mad idea! But get past that, and it can be a really good option for sufferers of hair loss, especially younger ones like myself who have very limited options.

MHT is not a bad option.
It can make a good improvement if the move is right.

Walking around with a scalp that looks like smudges of burned out ashy charcoal sounds horrible.

And I love the new gimmicky term of "true black ink."

I think the trendy word used to be "Logwood" or "carbon ink"

Sounds like the odds of a good one are small!

People do change...some people don't care anymore...toss their treatments and have no worries. Imagine not caring anymore and being left with a mess on the head.

You sounds like a commercial. Listen to yourself!

Problem free and easy....yeah ok...

And I am not speaking particular about HIS or any other company. I am talking about tattoos and just tattoos. Make sure you also do your research on the carrier compounds.

No...why would any get past the insanity?

If you're going to go for something cosmetic there are some awesome wigs out there. If you don't like it at least you can change your mind!

I have to say I dont understand the big deal with wigs. When women lose their hair, they will generally wear a wig, its just as distressing for a man to lose it in my opinion, athough of course we try not to show it afflicted as we are with male pride. Besides, If Tony Curtis was man enough to do it then thats the path im going down should i get to the point where I cant do anything at all with my hair. Id wear one, tell everyone and get on with it! Sure its absurd to stick hair to our head, but then, the lives we lead are generally absolutely absurd anyway. Ever watch two people getting into road rage, abusing people with such passion they have never met before simply because they didnt indicate in time? Thats more ridiculous than a wig. People in bars shouting at their team on the big screen to get stuck in despite the game being hundreds of miles away, thats ridiculous, being cooped up in an office processing data on computers while we live on a rock in space with the most extroadinary eco system at the very least, in this solar system, thats ridiculous! Might as well stick a wig on and join the party, you can at the very least, take it off again!!

Also I hate to chip in against scalp tattoing but I genuinely thing it is a terrible idea. When all is said and done, what happens if you put it on and hate it instantly? thats pretty much game over for the rest of your life, I remain dubious to the notion that any tattoo is easy to remove. Obviously if you do have it I hope for your sake you are very happy with it but I would put it in the same category as giving up your lifetime savings to buy a thai bride, you never know, it might work out, but also she might turn out to be a he and bum you and give you HIV and then your stuck with that for life and will have an awful hard time explaining him/her away at the next night out with your mates or sat next to you at the next family christmas dinner table

(I just want to make it clear that there is no insinuation that all thai brides are men, or that all transgender men are gay and have HIV etc, this is purely a hypothetical science!)

Tony Curtis was ridiculed for his wig. He never 'came out' as a bald man until he was about 80.

I must admit I thought Curtis was younger than that old when he admitted to it, but it was obvious from way before then. I knew he got stick, I didnt say you wont get ridiculed by some people but so what, who gives a sh*t, men get ridiculed just the same for being bald, having hair transplant's, using concealers, having a little dick, not having enough money, scalp tattoing, small house, crap job etc, the emasculation of males is everywhere, i say if you cant stand the sight of your head bald, stick the hair on and crack on, you can always take it off. It remains a better idea than Scalp tattoing as you will get ridicule for that anyway, there is much more that can go wrong and it doesnt give you any options. I say put the wig on and have at it!

As I'm not on any treatments (I'm only 18) then I have no worries of stopping them. I have no interest in keeping my hair now, because it's just a burden. I would absolutely love to shave it and get on with my day but that's not really an option at the moment.

The 'true black ink' wasn't even a statement by HIS, a laser removal company working with HIS clients to remove MHT commented on a forum post to dispell any blue/ green discolouration issues and also explained how straightforward the removal process is. It takes a few sessions but there will never be any actual problems.

As this seems like a quick and easy fix for younger people (I agree they should do their research first) a lot of them tend to go for super defined/ draw on looking hairlines. That's the reason you see a load of unnatural looking hairlines.

Finally, getting past the madness shouldn't be a problem. It's ink, used to replicate hair follicles. Okay, but for the past few months I've been using dermmatch to do the same job (dry application for the shaved sides.) Even though dermmatch is only temporary; I use it every day, I don't leave the house without it. I don't even look at myself without it. I agree that wigs look great these days and can be a great solution, but I just don't want to be a slave to my hairloss, worrying constantly about things coming off/ not looking right.

But hey man...do your thing. You have to go and do whats best for you.
