Why does testosterone cause hair loss in the first place. When I heard about it it seemed a little eerie to me.

It's just a little weird considering it's simply a chemical. Why would it do something as random as cause swelling in a certain way to the scalp to cause hair loss/ inflate the skin. I just don't understand.
