been on propecia and rogaine almost 3 months now and my results have been pretty great (see below)... but I still get twinges of scalp burning which concerns me. Am I just responding to rogaine but not propecia? Should I try something else like avodart or just hold fast?

You shouldnt even be thinking about your hair again until about 1 and half or 2 years. Take some pictures then and see if its different. Dutasteride is pretty risky and dangerous from a health point of view for a cosmetic problem like hair. There are questions on how it changes insulin sensitivity in men. Your going to alter how your body produces insulin and risk being diabetic for hair?
If you have real concerns see a doctor.

It’s hard to not think about it when I get this stupid irritation. I think it may be the Rogaine Foam since when I wash it out my scalp in general feels much better but I dunno.

I definitely think avodarts possible benefits outweigh the risks.

I wouldn’t be concerned considering you’re having great results. What about itchiness?

Also, you really need two different kinds of Cheerios? :)

You can never have too many kinds of Cheerios lol

Ya I itch too but that doesn’t bother me. It’s when I get occasional scalp soreness I worry and it makes me want to try avodart.

I know I should probably just forget about for 1.5 to 2 years but it’s freaking hard

Dude you’re cured. How’s your shedding? Do you notice any hairs?

My hair is pretty short so the only time I notice them is when I’m putting on rogaine. There will be like 5-10 hair each application and most seem really thin. I’ll occasionally get a thick strong one. Hopefully it’s just the weak hairs coming out for the strong ones
