Why does minoxidil leave this mess in my scalp?

Hey.
I bought some generic pharmacy-made minoxidil 5% liquid solution and I got this after it dried:

The photo didnt come too good but the minoxidil leaves this white residues that looks like dust.
Is this normal with other minoxidil solutions??
I also let 1 mL of minoxidil to evaporate and this was left after the process:

Its that white substance that remains in my scalp after applications, does this mean that the minoxidil isnt absorbed?

Does the foam leave any residue?

The foam sometimes leaves dandruff like flakes on my hair if I don't shower for a day. Since I usually shower twice a day I have no problems.

If you dont wash your hair everyday (like I dont) then u can get a build up of thick scummy stuff yes. Its not a big deal...
