Why Does Hair Grow Faster From Thicker Follicles Than Thin?

Because it would make sense if thin hair grew faster.

It would take less time to pack protein together to create thin hair than thick.

I thought that's why thick trees take years more to grow than it does for ordinary plants to.

So anyone know the facts?
