Why Do Some Transplants Look So Mediocre And Others Look So Amazing??

This is my idea of a hair transplant - taking someone from balding status to looking very dense

but a lot of transplants barely show any real difference from before and after. What causes this? Are the good transplants people with excellent donor density and thickness?

Possible causes: Hair loss pattern/severity, hair density, donor hair capacity, stabilization of hair loss w/ meds, doctor competency. I may be missing a variable, though as you can see it's multi-faceted. Control what you can.
