Why Do Some Fallen Hair Strands Have White Dots On Them And Some Don't?

Usually when I brush or play with my hair the hair strands that fall have white dots on them. But, today I realized something. The hair strands that fall on my bed while I sleep, don't have those dots.

Now I've read that those dots mean that the strand has fallen from the root and it's just a skin particle. But what I don't understand is, why do they fall from the root when I touch them, but don't fall from the root on their own (while sleeping)?

Thanks in advance.

I don't understand what white dots you are talking about. Do you mean white dots on the body of the hair, or the root?

He probably means the root
Then it makes sense.

If you pluck hair from your head, it may still be in an anagen phase: robust and strong root bulb. The hair that falls on its own is in catagen phase.

Yes . If you are balding, they might grow with less thickness and a smaller bulb (miniaturization). If you are not balding, they will grow just the same.

1.5 milligrams a day. Pills made by a local chemist.
I don't have side effects except for a less copious ejaculation.
