Why do everyone has whispy hairs in the temples?

Hi everyone, I just have a question. Why is it normal and why do everyone has whispy hairs in the corner or temple area???, even women have this whispy hairs which make their hairlines look thin. My mother also has thinner temples and has a great head of hair

Even females have maturing hairlines, just a lot slower than males. Those short whispy hairs were full hairs at a young age.
