Why Did Ashton Kutcher Start With dutasteride?

Why did Ashton Kutcher start with dutasteride? I was just reading on his hair loss and he said when he was 25 he went to a doctor at the first sign of hair loss and he took dutasteride as the first thing.

Do people usually start with dutasteride? I thought everyone took finasteride and they only took dutasteride if it didnt work. Or they take finasteride for 10 years or something and then switch to dutasteride when they start having problems again.

Ive been on this forum on and off for awhile and i dont think ive really ever seen people just start with dutasteride? Unless theyre hair loss is really severe or they waited a really long time to get on it. Most ive seen is people try finasteride and it doesnt work after a year so they switch to dutasteride but I never really see anyone start right off with dutasteride? Especially with a doctor and minor hair loss too. Sounds kinda extreme to not even try finasteride in the first place doesnt it?

I'd be surprised if it wasn't common practice in Hollywood. These guys livelihood's depend on their hair. Naturally the doctors to the stars are going to give them the most effective treatment right off the bat.

Thats true but everyone cares about their hair. Doesnt it make more sense to try with finasteride and then see what happens and try and get more stable results longer?

I do their managers just not give a sh*t about them and want to squeeze every bit of fame out of them they can because theyre biggest appeal is before 40?
