That's just the way forums are. Especially ones like this where people are a bit shy and have a problem.

I think we have a 5 minute delay on the board refreshing so that number might be off by a bit. And if someone were to leave and then come back real quick within that 5 minutes it might count twice. And then a few will be spam bots trying to register. So if you see 100 the accurate number of live people might be closer to 90.
