Who has hair that grows out instead of down on the sides

I hate that. When I get my haircut, I buzz it #2 on sides and back and back and just cut the top and blend in the top with the sides and back. (basic guy cut) What sucks is that I feel like I need a hair cut every week because the sides grow out and get "puffy" while the top is flat so I feel like I look like a tard. I am a diffused thinner on top with receded temples. Whats funny is I know someone with the same type of hair as me and he too is losing hair, it must be a balding hair type or something.

Anyway does anybody have hair like that and is there any products that will get your hair to flat'n out and grow downwards. Sometimes I think if I wear a du rag when I sleep at night it might improve.

Any thoughts?

yeah lol mine is exactly the same i often have to wax the sides down depending on how i wear my hair

my style normally depends on a few factors such as

1) bad hair day etc the way its flowing
2) length of time since last haircut
3) if ive washed / with conditioner

but im not really sure what to do besides using wax to make the top puff out aswell as the sides so it atleast looks even

I have the exact same hair as you, and my temples are my main problem too. I have to keep the sides shaved with a 1 guard or it gets too puffy. It costs me a fortune on haircuts because if I do it myself I cant blend it right and it looks like I have a bowl-cut. I have to go to the barber every 2 weeks. Major pain in the ***.

yeah.

in my case, the sides of my head and in fact the top too were both pretty darn straight before puberty. however, since like the age of 14, my hair got coarse and wiry (and therefore curly/kinky) which caused my hair to appear like bit of brillo pad with diffuse thinnning.

however

the anti DHT meds are helping the hair on teh sides of the head to become straight and normal again! am just waiting for aful recovery, its VERY slow but steady.

i actually wore a winter hat before when i slept before. my hair use to be really short and it would always stick up on top while the sides were pretty much shaved. so it would look like i had very pooffy hair almost like a afro so i wore a hat to make my hair flat on top. i stopped doing it cause i dont know if thats healthy for the hair and scalp.

Well at least I'm not the only one..not like that makes me feal better.

I just got a hair cut today, I swear I friggin hate my hair. I might be being

to critical but I don't know. I've always been a "hair" guy since early

teens and now I gotta deal with this sh$t. What pisses me off more is that

my dad has always had a full head of hair!!! Anyway, this propecia better

start doing something soon. I've been on it for 7 months, first 4 months

my hair actually improved and I was feeling good about the progress. By

the 5th or 6th month it looked like i went back to where I started maybe

even somewhat worse as far as thinning. Now I am almost at month 7 and

am hoping for a power growth by like the 9th or 10th month. :freaked2:
