Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've been on any of these forums so I'm a bit out of the loop. I had a hair transplant about 22 years ago. I didn't get the plugs but I got "mini grafts" which are like 3 or 4 hairs per graft that are spaced out unnaturally.
Anyways, I've decided to waive the white flag and shave it all off. Problem is the strip scar. (It's been 22 years so I have no idea how bad it will look with a shaved head but it's definitely noticeable if I cut my hair to less than one inch. And the grafts will look like dots on my head I think. I would like to know which doctors/clinics are considered top of the line when it comes to pigmentation to mask a strip scar. Also would like to know which doctors/clinics are considered the best when it comes to graft extractions. And if there are any real treatments to reduce/repair the scarring that will occur from the graft extractions. Does laser treatment really work? Derma rollers? Am I better off just keeping the grafts and shaving them down as close as possible or removing them? Which would look the most unnatural?
Through my own research it seems Dr. Umar is considered one of the best when it comes to repairs but I like to know from real people who have had these done rather than just check the websites of the doctors. Thank you in advance for and info and/or recommendations.
