White/yellow residue layer on scalp from Rogaine liquid...

So I've been using Rogaine liquid for the past six months along with Propecia and I've seen good results. I started when I had a buzzed head, but my hair has been grown out a bit over the last three months. So today I buzz my hair down to 1/8 inch and there is a nasty white-ish/yellow-ish film all over the treatment area from the Rogaine liquid. I tried shampooing and it actually made it look worse. First of all, is this normal (is the Rogaine being absorbed correctly into my scalp)? Second, how can I prevent or resolve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I get this too with the Kirkland minoxidil liquid.

You could try to reduce useage a little and see if that helps.

A lot of us have this effect from the PPG contained in the liquid. You could look into the PPG free bottles, but they cost more. I plan on trying it in the future.

Also, it will go away completely if you don't use it for a day or two and take two to four showers during that time. You could look into using foam if you are keeping a buzzed head.

I do not have such problem when I use Rogaine, but I wash my hair everyday. How often do you wash your hair bv2929?

I wash it every day. Do you massage in the Rogaine when you apply it? Because what I usually do use the dropper to dab it down a little to get it to stay in place. I try to use my fingers as little as possible. Is this a good method? Or should I massage it in more for better absorbency?
