It just means it is in telogen. A hair without a bulb is a broken or cut hair.

If you are shedding tons of bulbed hairs it’s most like AA increasing the telogen to Anagen.

Less likely scenario is you have a telogen effluvium.

Androgenic alopecia increases telogen to anagen ratio which is why we get “shedding”. Literature says 10:1->7:1 but based on how fast some of us shed I think it can be much much higher
