Which Hair Transplant Dr Should I Go For ? (pics Included)

Hey,

31 years old, Asian man with strong thick donor area.

Been on propecia for 10 years on and off, no side effect apart from watery seaman but that gets thick again once I go on a break for 2 months.

minoxidil foam twice a day, Laser comb 3 times a week and Pumpkin seed tablets every day.

I think propecia has slowed down my hair loss dramatically.
Everyone in my family, Dad and Uncles are all NW6/7.

I am considering a hair transplant and need advice on which Dr to go for. So far I had a consultation with Dr Asim Shahmalak of Crown Clinic.

He was a bit arrogant to say to the least but I see he is quite high profile and also some celebrities have had an hair transplant with him.

He quoted me £4.5 per grant for 2000 grants. FUE procedure.

A mix of my pics, wet and dry hair.

Any advice? I am looking to get a hair transplant soon.

A bit of information you might be interested in. Calum Best who has used Crown / Shahmalak in the past, went to Cosmedica in Turkey (Dr Acar) for his most recent hair transplant 2 months ago.

interesting as I saw Calum's post on IG about getting a hair transplant but he didnt say the Dr. How did you find out? So guessing Shahmalak is not the best :)

If you have time to travel, Turkey is a pretty good destination for hair transplants.
However, there are several clincs/hospitals. You can have a more detailed loook on a few good ones. Also, it is necessary to consider other techniques like DHI. Maybe it is better for you.

Geez, 2 months ago. He'd had about five, 3 years ago, how many has he had now. And why does he need so many. His donor area must be getting low no?

I just googled DHI method. So this even better than FUE. what Dr's are using this method?

I know Dr. Fatih from Istanbul, Turkey who uses this method. Their hospital is in Levent district- main shopping and business district of the city.

starting to get serious now.... I am deciding between Asmed Dr Koray in Turkey or Hasson and Wong in Vancover.

Both FUE.

Asmed Dr Koray Erdogan = 4500/5000 grafts = 11,250-12500 Euros
Hasson and Wong = 3500 grafts = $16500

what do you think?

Where are you based? Turkey is cheaper but I remember when my friend who did a transplant in Turkey came back home butchered...Maybe he went to a wrong doctor but it took him a long time to recover, and from 4000 grafts planted, only 15-20 survived :)

oh ye turkey is risky but ASMED is the best and quite expensive for Turkey. I am based in Manchester UK, actually I am 30 second walk from Dr Farjo but I am not sure about him

Hey so I am in Manchester UK and 30 seconds away (literally, his clinic is next to my office) from Dr Farjo. Anyone have opinions on him?

Hey, so Hasson & Wong have given me a great deal for 3000 grafts. Nearly the same price as ASMED however ASMED is aggressive at 5000 grafts.... I know I will need a 2nd transplant in the future so want to make the most out of my grafts.

Which one to pick?! please help me

@Yodda Thank you for sending the video link

@ahmeda
Keep doing your research and contact previous patients from the Drs that you are interested in. Ultimately you must have complete confidence in your decision of physician. You must trust them completely with your situation, long term donor management, artistry and hairline design etc....
This is why there is much more than just the finances to consider. Of course, finances are a motivation behind the majority of individuals decision in choice of Dr, but it should not be the main motivating factor.

Just checked Dr Lupenzula website out and it looks impressive. How many graphs are you having and what is the price please. Ive been thinking about Dr De Reys for a while but Dr Lupenzula looks promising

Just checked the website myself and it looks everything BUT impressive. 2 massive spelling mistakes on your homepage, how can you even take yourself serious??

Not to mention the whole website is in broken English. Just gives off such an extremely unprofessional vibe to me.
