Hello guys,
So I can admit I have body dismorphia and have obsessed about losing my hair from about the age of 18 (now 24) but I do feel that has always been rooted in fact.
I’ve been using minoxidil on the hairline for maybe 3 years, tbh I’m unsure as to whether it has done anything, tho I have come through shedding phases etc and I feel it has made hair their pretty bad.
This year especially the last few months I have now noticed a drop in density all over, no volume whispy hairs all over when they used to only be at the front, but I understand I still have a good head of hair, but I want to act now to avoid the inevitable. Dad and dads side a mixture between bald and slightly receded. Mums side all full heads of hair.
I have tried min which did something rotten to my anxiety, libido etc etc.
I believe it can be controlled and was considering morr f and have bought a dermaroller.
However I’m seeing so many posts on people who have shed and lost a lot of ground and not recovered it back from finasteride even topical finasteride.
Although something can be done now cause I know my own hair and I know there is a difference and it is thinning. I also am aware I have a full head of it and don’t want to take anything that’ll ruin that.
I was considering possibly using morr f at just the temples and seeing how that goes I’m addition to derma-rolling before using finasteride on my whole scalp but then it could proceed to get thinner.
Any advice would be so appreciated cause I’m at a crossroads and on one side don’t want to do anything that will jeopardise the hair I do have but also don’t want to leave it just getting and feeling thinner.
Pics for proof.
Sorry for the insta screenshots I wanted to show the quality change
Didn’t have any specific hair pics from before but you can see the density in the older pics from two/three years ago.
