DHT is a major killer of hair, but we cannot ignore the power of oily scalp.
Scalp oil is a pain for me since I stopped taking propecia... the scalp is kinda shinny it is terrible.. I am using a lot of Toppik these days and I feel my day to hair transplant is near :(

My question is, where does the scalp oil goes after transplant?
Although the surgeron claim that the hair from the back are not affected by DHT , but since these hair and transplanted into the area with a lot of scalp oil, is it still going to make the hair die?

BTW, What do you use to battle scalp oil, is it effective? Thank you.

An oily scap does not imply that it is a detriment to hair follicles, or the re-growth of transplanted hair. Your scalp may be just excreting more oils and that in itself is not necessarily a problem other than having to clean your scalp more often, meaning shampooing.

If you are having any othe issues with it, see a dermatologist.

Why did you stop Propecia?

either way scalp oil will do less harm to your transplanted hair than your original hair.
