The last and final thing that I want to have in my hairloss regimen is the addition of emu oil... I know that the studies showing its hairloss benefits are disputed, but I want to use it as an anti-inflammation nightly... and to reap the best benefits of my regimen...

I know that adding more and more topicals isn't a good idea, but I think that emu oil would be nice to apply every once in a while to keep the itching down when it's bad.

Where do you guys purchase your emu oil from? Any reputable websites?

I don't want to order from some crack-pot Joe-Shmoe who kills emu's in Australia and makes his own formulas.

I'm gonna try this web site out for my emu stuff. http://longviewfarms.com/Merchant4/merc ... e_Code=LVF
Just got my spironolactone %5 today and just put it on my head and hairline. Yes it does smell like skunk oil. I recommand using this stuff sparingly as well. A drop on the finger is enough. A little of this stuff goes a long way. I heard the emu oil is the sameway. Use both sparingly.

How long does a 4oz bottle last you guys?

How much do you use in an application? 1ml?

When I started w/ uniquely emu's oil - I got the teeney weeney 2 oz. bottle - which lasted my 3.5 months using 5 drops a day. This brand is more like a cream or lotion than an oil - it'sa little thicker and easier to place a drop on your finger have it stay there and work it into your scalp.

Longview Farms is more of a pure viscous oil. And even though I got the larger 4 oz bottle - I find myself using a bit more because it's so viscous and I really haven't mastered the droppage rate yet. I just pour some into my hand and then go for the scalp from there.

But they're both good - just different consistencies.

I just ordered some essential oils (romesary, thyme, cedar and lavender) that I'm going to be adding to my emu.
