Where do I start?

Ok finally come to realise that my hairline is receeding :( not terribly but to a point where I am becoming more conscious about it.

I've had a small 'widows peak' since birth but it's definately going further back now and the hair on top is thinning a little. (Hairdresser was kind enough to point it out to me last cut) Although I don't seem to notice hair loss other than when washing it??

I've had a GOOD look on this site and there is a wealth of information stores etc, but there IS so much that I'm not really sure where or what to start with!

Next problem is I am in Australia and I don't know where to obtain many of the products mentioned here other than rogain. I'm sure I could get them, but if anyone (particularly in Aus) could tell me whether I need prescriptions etc would be appreciated.

Realistically I am wanting to hopefully stop my recession and maybe 'undo' it above my temples, I understand that rogain isn't designed to re-grow hair just prevent it worsening?
I beleive maybe a dermatologist maybe able to help, but where I live is difficult to get to one.

So thats where I'm at, can anyone offer a suggestion as to where to start, I'd be greatful!

Thanks in advance.

hey MrB, im from Aus to and you can get everything you need. You can pick up nizoral from your local pharmact along with rogain. I wouldnt suggest using rogain if you havent lost much yet, maybe look into using propecia 1 mg daily. you could get it off the net or get a prescription from your doctor.
Good luck

With the Finasteride, you want to see if you can get a doctor to write you a prescription for Proscar instead of Propecia. Both Proscar and Propecia are EXACTLY the same drug (Finasteride). The difference is Propecia is a 1mg tab FDA approved for Androgenetic Alopecia and Proscar is a 5mg tab FDA approved for Benign Prostate Hyperplasia (BPH). What you then do is cut the Proscar into 1/4ths or 1/5ths. This way you get 4months or more out of a bottle rather then just one month.
