I shaved my head completely bald about a month ago because I thought theres was nothing I could do about it. I don't look bad completely bald but Im only 20. I decided to fight it instead of giving up and plan on regrowing my hair out and fighting my hairloss. I got my laser comb pro 12, rogaine, Big 3 ketoconazole shampoo, and a derma roller. I also plan on getting a hair transplant in 2 years. Just Want to know where I stand on the Norwood scale so I can track my results. Thanks

You look to be on your way to a 3, but you may be able to get some of that back in the front, or at the very least stop it from worsening, by hopping on the big 3. Finasteride is a must. Without it, it's like bringing a knife to a gunfight. If you grow your hair out to a medium length, and get a good forward-brushed hairstyle (i.e. a classic Caesar cut) it can look pretty good. I would advise waiting on the hair transplant for a while though. You have to stabilize your loss first. Then, you and your surgeon need to come up with a good plan for the future so you can plan accordingly for how your hair loss will progress as you get older so you don't waste any donor hair on something you don't need. Some young guys want to go get a transplant and get back to NW1 and waste a bunch of good donor hair on the temples, as well as bring their central forelock down to where the hairline was not too long ago when they were in their early to mid teens.

I believe U r 2 because buzzing your hair may illusive but dats obvious u got moderate to aggressive thinning and some recession for temples wiht some mild vertex thinning

My hair looks like that in those angles, Norwood 2.5-3 but when i look at it in photos/the mirror it looks no-where near as bad, like a 2-2.5. I was quite shocked the first time i took close up photos of my hairline for my baseline when i started finasteride.

Thanks for the reply guys! Finasteride scares the crap out of me Don't think I could bring myself to use it yet. The more I grow my hair out the the less noticeable it becomes. It looks less obvious compare to two days ago if you look at the pics. I think I could regrow some of my hairline back in a year of my regimen. Im ready for this battle!
