When to start minoxidil?

I had thought that I had saw somewhere that one should save minoxidil for when signifificant regrowth is needed but now I cant seem to find the relevant posts/articles.

I am about a Norwood 1.5 and am just starting to get a tiny baldspot in the back. Right now the hair just looks really thin. I also have temple recession and some diffuse thinning.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't be using minoxidil right now?

Am I right in saying that minoxidil doesn't maintain?

I am very confused about this...

Minoxidil is a growth stimulant which provides an offshoot of growth. Problem is, it does nothing about DHT. That's why minoxidil and propecia compliment each other so well.

So, if you use minoxidil chances are it will help, but if your not takling the DHT you will still lose it. minoxidil will just buy you some more time.

Click on the blue highlighted word for more info on minoxidil, if you have not already.

yeh i dunno... for some reason I cant figure when the best time to start it is. I keep getting conflicting opinions.

Save it for later Vs. Why aren't you on it now!!

Believe me, I understand. I didn't start minoxidil until late last year. I was 51 years old for Godsakes! Talk about waiting too long.
