you look good for 37. I would think after 12 months if it hasn't stopped your hairloss at the very least then perhaps it is not going to work for you.

If you use them consistently for 12 months you are likely to get results. However judging by your forum name it does not sound like you have a very positive view of the possibilities and that perhaps your mind is already made up.

There is not much to tell you since you're already on the big 3. If male pattern baldness runs in your family and you're able to maintain that, you're treatments must be working.

Only you can determine what to do and to find out which one will be effective. people respond differently to different treatments. so you won't know until you try.

try scalp massage with a dry soft towel twice daily. And report for any improvement in about four months. Do you drink milk or eat cheese?

Are you on Rogaine liquid or foam? I would try the other of whatever you're using. If you're on liquid, try foam. If you're on foam, try liquid.

You might also want to consider trying dutasteride to see if it works.

On the bright side, you look great with a shaved head and your hairline has mostly stayed intact!

im on foam the liquid did nothing after 7 months along with 2% nizoral,so gave up then a few years later jumped on the big 3 with no results yet or anything yet.

to the other guy my hair has maintained for years without using any treatment so why do u think the big 3 is working?

when do most people throw in the towel and qwit using the big 3 realising that it aint thickening the existing hair 1 year 2 years etc how long should i use the big 3 for as im not looking for maintainece as my hair maintaines without treatment ,only thickening .cheers for listening

they say that finasteride is mainly for maintenance and minoxidil is for regrowth,
but if you are looking for thickening why not go for cosmetic thickening,
i.e concealer or something,

if you have maintained your hair , = success

I got what you mean. You had no or little sign of male pattern baldness for 39 years and decided to take the big3 when you were 34 hoping to thinken it or you were worried losing it.

Your particular case is not common so it's difficult to find someone who can answer. Unless you find someone, there is only one way to find out: stop the treatments.

Does male pattern baldness run in your family? Who among them has, if any?

no male pattern baldness in my family ,so at 25 years old my barber noticed my hair was thinning ,was in denial for 2 years until it became obvious .so at 27 i tried a few snake oils for a year with no improvement ,so im now 28 and probably a nw2a ,so i leave my hair alone for 4 more years so im now 32 ,my hairloss has not really got any worse but looked terible ,so i then try kirkland minoxidil and 2% nizoral used them for 7 months ,they did F**k all,so qwit.so did nothing for my hair again for 3 more years that makes me 36 years old ,my hairloss still has not progressed ,so today im desprate to get some results so i get rogaine foam ,propecia and nizoral 2% ,im super consistent with treatment ,im near 6 months and once again it is doing nothing for my hair .

will my hair suddenly respond to the treatment at 2 years and suddenly regrow my hair .
once again dont tell me that because ive maintained its a sucess ,because i have and can maintaine without using any treatment

I Broke the Mystery of Male Pattern Baldness

Hmm, you want regrowth to occur..............

........... Judging by your story, it seems that what ever was causing hairloss before had stopped already.

Well some guys to develop Norwood 1 2 or 3 their entire lives without any form of treatment that's why it's called a "Type". You could fall under description.

That's one mystery I've been trying to explore by collecting data and your posts certainly adds to my collection.

I can't tell you to stop or continue your treatments but I can tell you to use a dry soft towel and to massage your scalp twice daily before sleeping and after sleeping. There is no assurance this will be effective for you but some people claim it does for them. But you got nothing to lose by trying it.

There are studies pointing to sebum deposits as an issue. Armandein of this forum has cited those studies.

ill give up treatment at 12 months, and pray for some cure.ps did u see my pics pg 1

Doesn't look like normal male pattern baldness hairloss to me. And getting to that stage quickly then stalling for many years is not normal for male pattern baldness.

Doesn't suprise me the regular treatments don't do anything. Your hairline is still perfect, be thankful for that.
