I am planning on a prohormone cycle. I will be using Formeron, which is transdermal formestane. It is an aromatase inhibitor, which in short will give me higher testosterone and lower estrogen. Formestane is also a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor, albeit an ineffective one. I am not sure whether my total DHT will go higher or lower than it was to begin with, but I want to avoid taking chances nevertheless. That's why I'm looking into finasteride.
I am 18 years old, and my beard is not fullly developed. I know that finasteride will inhibit beard growth, but is this a persistent side effect? Could I risk never growing a beard if I do finasteride for a couple of months? And if my testosterone is only elevated for a couple of months, can I discontinue finasteride after my testosterone is normal again? Or is there a risk that I might suddenly shed hair when I stop taking the pills?
