When beginning finasteride

Hi guys,

After checking my photos and seeing how much ground i've lost over the last 3 months alone, i have decided my male pattern baldness is too aggressive to wait for a year with just Dr Proctor's products (even though they seem really good) so im going to begin finasteride.

I just wanted some advice on a few things

Is 18 too young to begin finasteride? I'm nearly 19, but im still worried that im too young. Im more worried about my aggressive male pattern baldness though, so im going to use it.

Do i have to stop my other treatments? Im currently on proxiphen (a very small amount on the hairline) prox-n (at the front) and spironolactone 5% (on and off, deciding whether to use it)

I think i should stop the spironolactone, as it's not really necessary with finasteride, but i'd like to keep the other two. Especially because they are only at the front, where finasteride is supposedly least effective. Im not losing much at the vertex, but i still think it'd be obvious if it was working as it is a little thinner than the back.

Im so down about having to do this, but the seriousness of my loss has me convinced. Thanks for the help my good fellows,

Hey Felk, i started using finasteride as soon i was 18. I didnt have no side effects at all, so you dont have much to worry about. As you are using proxiphen on the hair line and prox-n, i dont think you will need the 5% spironolactone. I think youve made the best choice to start finasteride, and it will hopefully put a stop to your aggresive hair loss. Goodluck
