What's the best way to use Minoxidil spray for front of hair?

Hi, I've bought Regaine liquid (Minoxidil 5% solution) I'm completely new to hair loss products, so a bit confused as the directions are for the vertex only, but I've heard some have had success for the front. My temple hair is slowly disappearing, and I heard it's best to start early.

My hair has thinned to about halfway up my head, it looks thinner than it does in pictures ( My hairdresser leaves the front hairs as long as possible to give texture and it works to a degree; huge fringe)

It has various applicators like a pump or rub-on. Is it best to spray on hands (gloves good idea) and then apply by rubbing it into the front of my scalp? It says to spray 5 times to get 1ml of solution, I don't know if I need that much?

I think the spray is difficult to use with long hair. I prefer the dropper over foam and spray. Part your hair and spray it then rub it in would be the best option.

buzz your head. it wont work as effectively with long hair.
